Jordan Treasures 8-Day Tour

This tour includes:

A colourful desert land with an epic history and some of the world’s most famous historic sights, Jordan is an essential stop on any traveller’s bucket list. This eight-day tour takes you to all the highlights, including Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and Petra.

The 20th century saw the humble town of Amman explode to become a thriving, cosmopolitan city. With historic sites like the Roman Theatre and King Abdullah Mosque, Jordan’s capital is an ideal place to begin your adventure. You’ll also visit nearby Ajloun Castle, which protected the country from attack during the Crusades. After spending a free day in Amman, set out for Mount Nebo, with breathtaking views over the River Jordan and the Dead Sea (Yes, you can float!). Visit Mabada, the city of mosaics and see the exquisite map covering the floor of St George Greek Orthodox Church. This is said to be the oldest map of the Holy Land in existence.

Make an early start for Petra, the symbol of Jordan. Make your way through the Siq to see the rock-cut architecture of the Treasury, the Street of Facades and the Amphitheater. Then head out to visit Wadi Rum, the breathtaking, almost alien desert landscape made famous by Lawrence of Arabia.

The seaside city of Aqaba brings your Jordan adventure to a relaxing end. Lay by the pool, go snorkeling or scuba diving, or continue exploring the ruins in this unique city. Get a few shots of the majestic surrounding desert before your return to Amman.
